2. Who we are

ZFS is made by ZFS Enterprises Australia, the registered business name of a sole trader in Queensland, Australia (ABN 74 187 484 809). Privacy questions: ZFSEnterprisesAus@gmail.com.

We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), whether or not the small-business exemption applies to us.

3. What stays on your device

Everything you enter in the app is stored only in the app's storage on your phone: workout sessions and sets, plans and custom exercises, your lift goal and fitness-test results; food log entries; bodyweight and tape measurements; and settings such as units and theme. The app has no server for your records, so we can't see, back up or recover them.

4. When data leaves your device

Only when you choose to. You can export a CSV or JSON backup, or share a session as text or an image, using your phone's share sheet. That file goes wherever you send it (for example email, messages or a cloud drive), and that service's privacy policy applies. Restoring a backup reads the file you pick, on your device.

5. App permissions

• Notifications: rest-timer alerts, scheduled locally on your phone (no server push). On Android the app may also ask for exact alarms so the alert is on time.
• Keep screen awake: so your phone doesn't lock mid-workout.

The app does not use your location, camera, contacts or microphone.

Apple Health and Health Connect are not part of version 1.0. If we add them later, we will update this policy before that release.

6. Beta sign-up

You can join the beta by emailing us. We ask for your name, the Google Play email you'd use to test, and your phone type (Android or iPhone). We use these only to invite you to testing (for Android, by adding your email to the Google Play testers list) and to contact you about the beta. We keep them until the beta ends, or sooner if you ask us to delete them.

Private test links. Before the app is in the stores, we may give some testers a private web link to try it. To open that link, you type your email address and Cloudflare emails you a one-time code (we use Cloudflare Access for this). Cloudflare processes your email address to send the code and keeps a login record (your email, the time and your IP address) in our Cloudflare account, which we can see. We use it only to control who can open the test link. The app itself never receives your email. We remove your email from the allowed list when the beta ends or if you ask us to (Cloudflare privacy policy).

7. This website

This site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare may process standard technical data such as your IP address and request logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse (Cloudflare privacy policy). The site sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts.

8. App stores

Google Play and the Apple App Store handle downloads, updates and any payments under their own policies (Google, Apple). We don't receive your card details.

9. Overseas

Cloudflare, Google (including Gmail, which we use for email) and Apple may process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We don't otherwise send personal information overseas.

10. Access, correction and deletion

• App data is on your device, so you control it. Edit or delete sessions in the app, or delete everything by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in your phone's settings. Files you have already exported are not affected.
• Beta or email information: email us to ask what we hold, to correct it or to delete it. We'll reply within 30 days and may need to confirm it's you.

11. Children

The app and this site are not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has emailed us their details, contact us and we'll delete them.

12. Not medical advice

ZFS is a training log, not a medical device. Nothing in it is medical advice. Check with a health professional before starting a new program.

13. Complaints

Please contact us first. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au, 1300 363 992).

14. Changes

If this policy changes, we'll publish the new version here with a new version number and effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in an app update.
